That's right, another baby is on the way and we're thrilled to bits about it! Come February, Lord willing, there will be a beautiful child in our arms for us to love and raise.
How amazing is that?!

Our Newest Niece Is Here!!
Our newest niece was born earlier this evening! Her name is Jordan Michelle. She lives way down in Texas so I don't even know when we'll get to meet her in person. I'm guessing she's insanely cute, though- it seems like that runs in the family.

My Captured Light
It's been my goal of late to develop my talents as a portrait artist. I'd like to offer my services at very low cost to families who can't necessarily afford to get a professional portrait taken. I still have a long way to go in improving my skills, but I'm enjoying practicing right now. You can view my portfolio here:

Public Service Announcement
Because of time constraints and a chronic case of RLS (Real Life Syndrome) I've decided to no longer keep up my Dash of This, Smidgen of That blog. I'll leave it there so you (and I) can access the archives and I'll post any useful tips and ideas on this blog.
To that end:
I've discovered a wonderful cleaning tips website. I was thrilled to find this. I hope it helps you, too!

My New Photo Blog
I know, I know, yet another blog is exactly what this world doesn't need, but while I do enjoy writing about life and laundry and posting it on the pinkness, I really wanted to display my artwork on a more subdued background. Hence, the new blog. I don't expect to be do much writing on that blog (if any) so at least I'm not adding one more thing for you all to read. Whenever you have a moment just meander on over to Captured Light and see a little bit of what I see.

May I Introduce...
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you the newest addition to our household- a motorcycle!

This is a purely practical second vehicle for our family. Never mind the look of jubilant glee on Joshua's face and the very comfy second seat for yours truly. We got this bike for practical reasons only. Yep, that's right, no fun factor here at all. (And if you believe that I'll tell you another one...)

A New Blog!
My niece Arianna and her friend Elsie have started a blog entitled "The Land of Fairytales." Arianna and I share a love of Fairies and we both seem to have excellent taste in blog templates.
Go check it out!

A Dream Come True
This may come as a shock to some of you, but a little-known dream of ours has finally come true. We have long desired to quit suburbia and start a farm and now that dream has become a reality. We had heard of some land just outside of Corry for sale from a friend of a friend. The owner of this land is a Christian trying to raise some money to enable him and his family to become a missionaries and is therefore selling much of the land surrounding their current home (which is also for sale.) Since he heard we are Christians, too, he’s selling us this land for a very reasonable price and giving us plenty of time to sell our house.
Even though this is something we’ve been wanting for a while there is still some uncertainty ahead. Joshua will be quitting his job and will work making deliveries for a rental store in Warren while we’re setting up our farm. Money will be tight at first I’m sure, but I feel that it will be worth a little struggle to have our dream farm. As strange as it may sound, I’m actually looking forward to learning how to milk a cow and gather eggs from our own chickens.
Rejoice with us as we start this new adventure!
