It's That Time of the Month Again...

Over at the Girl Talk blog the ladies are in the midst of a series entitled "PMS Prep." They are addressing the difficulties of various physical trials that women face and discussing how Godly women can still glorify Him through those times.

"We know they’re coming (most of the time, anyway): PMS, morning sickness, postpartum depression, menopause. Yet these predictable, physical trials of a woman’s life still tend to catch us off guard. When they show up, we feel like we’ve been hit from behind and struggle to keep steady amidst physical and emotional challenges....
You know it’s coming. But take heart: God’s grace is already here to help us prepare to glorify Him and serve others. Let’s consider how. "

Check it out here.

Did my brain just shut off? I think I read a blog post, but I can't recall any of the content. It's freaky! Sort of like waking up and having no clue how you got where you're at.

You mock it now, Jeremy, but someday when there's a Mrs. Beach, you'll be frantically searching my blog archives desperate for a clue of how you could possibly help her as your home is turmoil every month. You'll see- someday, you'll see.

;o) < hee, hee!

Thought you'd be amused to know that my pastor's wife is having me read a book written by women for women about natural approaches for Christians to deal with emotional struggles. I'm probably still going to skip the PMS chapters, however.

I'm listening to a book on tape (CD) and there was a conversation about this very topic. From the book "Dating Dead Men" by Harley Jane Kozak:

Wollie tries to use PMS as an excuse. Her friend, Frederique says "PMS? Did Golda Meir use PMS as an excuse to put off the Six Day War? NO. She took some Motrin and cut out the sodium."
